Biomass gas overview:

Biomass gas (straw gas) is a biomass-containing substance such as crop straw (rice straw, corn straw, wheat straw, cotton straw, etc.), forest waste, biomass particles, edible fungus residue, livestock manure, sewage sludge, etc. It is a combustible gas produced by pyrolysis or gasification decomposition of biomass under high temperature. The gas components are hydrogen, carbon monoxide and a small amount of methane, and other components are nitrogen, carbon dioxide, moisture, tar and particulate matter.

The main combustible components are H2 (5% ~ 30%), CH4 (4% ~ 30%), CO (5% ~ 40%) and a small amount of other unsaturated hydrocarbons above C2. The gas also contains CO2, N2, etc. The calorific value of gas is generally not high, and the low calorific value of gas is 5-6 MJ/Nm3.
