Coking gas gas overview:

Coking gas, also known as coke oven gas, belongs to high calorific value gas, crude gas or waste gas due to its many combustible components. It refers to a kind of combustible gas produced when coke and tar products are produced after high temperature dry distillation in a coke oven. It is a by-product of the coking industry.

 

The main components of coking gas:

The main components are H2 (55%~60%) and CH4 (23%~27%), and also contain a small amount of CO (5%~8%), unsaturated hydrocarbons above C2 (2%~4%), CO2 ( 1.5%~3%), O2(0.3%~0.8%)), N2(3%~7%). Among them, hydrogen, methane, carbon monoxide, and unsaturated hydrocarbons above C2 are flammable components, and carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and oxygen are non-flammable components. Among them, unsaturated hydrocarbons above H2, CH4, CO, C2 are combustible components, and CO2, N2, O2 are non-combustible components.
